LINE TRAVEL jp partners with Kiwi.com to source travel content
Kiwi.com supplies LINE TRAVEL jp, the travel channel of Japanese messaging app LINE, with international virtually interlined routes
Kiwi.com has become the travel content supplier for leading Japanese travel metasearch, LINE TRAVEL jp, that is operated by Venture Republic. LINE TRAVEL jp is available on the popular messaging app LINE as well as on the web.
Thanks to the partnership, Kiwi.com and LINE TRAVEL jp are the first to launch a Virtual Interlining product locally within the Japanese market, opening up easy access to many destinations worldwide.
Customers of LINE TRAVEL jp are about to enjoy self connect routes by Kiwi.com and earn LINE POINTS with each booking
Kiwi.com will open up its network of over 800 air and ground carriers and will make virtually interlined itineraries available to LINE TRAVEL jp customers.
As part of the cooperation, travelers will also earn LINE POINTS with each completed booking. Points can be then spent in the app or in many stores across Japan, where they accept the LINE Pay payment solution.
Powered by Kiwi.com, LINE TRAVEL jp becomes the first to change the travel booking standards in Japan
LINE TRAVEL jp changes the travel booking standards in Japan, as only a limited number of Japanese online travel agencies (OTAs) offer international travel connections.
Kei Shibata, LINE TRAVEL jp Chief Executive Officer, commented, “We are excited to have Kiwi.com on board LINE TRAVEL jp’s travel content platform. This collaboration will greatly benefit our 22+ million LINE Friends on our official LINE account as well as 20 million monthly visitors on our web platform when they search for international flights, particularly with connections.”
Kiwi.com Chief Commercial Officer, Golan Shaked, added, “The young and dynamic LINE brand is a perfect fit for Kiwi.com. We welcome LINE TRAVEL jp to our portfolio of successful partners and very much look forward to availing more travel options for customers in Japan.”
Earlier this year Kiwi.com became a strategic partner for AirAsia and its web platform airasia.com, another company in the ASEAN region.
