Smart Pass is offered to Kiwi.com customers during the booking process, on the Search, Booking, and Manage My Booking sections. The offering highlights the benefits of connecting at your airport and creating a competitive advantage against other hubs. Bundling the Kiwi.com Hosted Stopover Program with Smart Pass at your airport means it is also possible to reduce the Minimum Connection Time (MCT) and to increase the number of potential connections and self-connecting passengers.
Example of the Milan Bergamo Airport – Bergamolynk
Milan Bergamo Airport was the first Kiwi.com partner airport to launch its Bergamolynk Smart Pass on Kiwi.com. Thanks to it, self-connecting passengers via Milan Bergamo Airport can use Fast Track and a dedicated desk in the VIP lounge to drop their checked baggage off. In addition, while waiting for the next flight, they can enjoy airport shopping via the discount vouchers provided. With a streamlined transfer process, the Minimum Connection Time for VI itineraries via the airport has been reduced with positive results in terms of bookings and passengers.

Budapest Airport has always believed in self-connecting traffic as one of the main opportunities for airport growth. With the support of Kiwi.com, the bud:connects Hosted Stopover Program and Smart Pass were launched in 2019, bringing transfer assistance for self-connecting passengers to the next level with the introduction of two dedicated transfer desks at the airport. Specifically, airport agents trained by Kiwi.com to support self-connecting passengers with information, directions, and help if needed. bud:connects desks are also equipped with phones from where it is possible to reach the Kiwi.com Customer Support in the unlikely event of missed connection. bud:connects Smart Pass also includes a free Fast Track voucher for those travelling with a checked baggage and a layover time up to three hours.
